Banana Pear Pancakes

Spread the love

I’m always looking for a nutritious twist to put on our everyday breakfast go-to like pancakes.  Blaire is almost 1 year old and still super picky when it comes to eating solid food.  I try and make recipes that get more calories and nutrients in her, since she will probably only take a couple bites.  In this recipe I used Power Cake mix that is a higher protein pancake mix,but you  could use any type of flour or pancake mix that you like.  I just added a extra soft banana, grated pear, egg and milk!

Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: American
Keyword: banana, pancakes, pear
Servings: 12 pancakes

  • 1 cup flour or pancake mix I used power cake mix for extra protein
  • 1 cup milk almond or soy milk or water can work too
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Banana Smashed
  • 1 pear grated

  • Combine flour/mix, milk, and egg in mixing bowl and whisk together.  Smash ripe banana and combine with pancake mixture.  Grate pear using any size cheese grater you have in the kitchen and stir into pancake mixture.  Heat skillet on stove top to medium low heat.  Use 1/4 cup of batter for each  pancake.  Depending on how hot your skillet get it should only take a couple minutes per side.  you will see the pancake start to rise and little bubble form - that is a good sign to flip the pancake.  Server warm, cold or throw in the freezer to store for breakfasts on the  go!

Use regular flour, pancake mix or protein mix!

If your little one isn’t quite into chewing solid food yet, then try a puree or yogurt recipe
