DIY Healthy Baby Food – “Get in those greens” Baby Food Recipe

I’m always trying to use local produce, what’s in season and basically what needs to be used in the fridge. This week I am trying out some pouches made by kiinde that have these amazing reusable tops like a built in spoon and standard pouch like straw. Blaire loves both!

I really wanted to get more green foods into this recipe

  1. 1/2 cup power greens (kale, spinach, chard mix)
  2. 1/4 cup unsweetened organic apple sauce or make your own if you’re bomb like that
  3. 1 cup plain yogurt
  4. 2 peeled and cored persimmons (yup I’m still trying to use them up)
  5. 1/4 quinoa baby cereal
  6. 1/4 cup raspberries (could be any berries fresh or frozen)
  7. 1/2 avocado

Blend together and you’ve got yourself at least a pouch a day for the week!  I love using the baby bullet for smaller portions or my tried and true Vitamix.
